Poem of the Month

In honor of National Poetry Month...

The only person who can stop me is me
The only person who can stop me is me
The only person who can stop me is me
I'm suppose to be in prison unable to think for myself
Not concsious of my surroundings
Unable to be free, no free thinking for me
No free enterprise for me
I'm suppose to be a mindless drone unable to think, speak, or act freely
The only person who can stop me is me
I can walk down the street with my pants tight with a sassy switch in my hips
I can get on the mic and say whatever I like
No police clubs at the door
They say I am not free but the only person who can stop me is me
No iron marks brand my body as property
Slave to no one
I come and go as I please
They say I am not free but the only person who can stop me is me
Lovely to look at permission must be granted before touching
You may not take what you like
I have choice but I am not free
The only person who can stop me is me
Others may hate and distaste thier disgust sure as hell can't stop me from being me
My soul is infinite
My soul is free
My mind is free
If my mind and soul are free
I am free
The only person that can stop me is me
End the negativity

Heal Detroit Rally I walker
